What is $BIFE?

Base is for everyone ($BIFE) is a meme token on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum L2. The original devs went silent over a year ago and the community took the project over. It's the first and only community takeover of this token, run entirely by its holders.

What does "community takeover" (CTO) mean?

When a token's founding team disappears, the holders can pick the project up and run it themselves: socials, website, marketing, direction. No one is paid by a team, no insiders have a stash to dump. What you see here was built by holders, for holders.

Is there a team? Who's in charge?

No team, by design. Community members run the socials and this site, decisions are hashed out in the Telegram, and formal onchain governance is in the works so holders can vote directly.
